The all-time South African favorite and long a source of local pride, the BMW 3 Series is the latest model from BMW to be decorated in special Mzansi Edition flavours. The BMW 3 Series Mzansi Edition is available on three models: 318i, 320i, 320d and delivers exclusive interior and exterior elements.“In keeping with the Mzansi Edition mandate, this version of the BMW 3 Series looks even sportier from the outside, while a more luxurious and state-of-the-art setting has been created in the cabin,” said the company.

One standout feature is the iconic glow grille, previously only available on the BMW X6. The iconic glow grille features LED backlighting that is illuminated when the vehicle is locked and unlocked.
The BMW 3 Series Mzansi Edition’s athletic side profile is equally appealing. Hallmark red M Sport brake callipers are paired with 19-inch M light-alloy wheels, LED door projectors and High-gloss black side sill inserts to continue the theme.
The BMW 3 Series Mzansi Edition’s distinctive rump is signalled by black chrome trim for its tailpipes, a high-gloss black rear diffuser and a carbon fibre rear spoiler.
As for its interior appointments, the Mzansi Edition is fitted with a range of premium features including upholstery in a sporty combination of Sensatec and Alcantara with contrast stitching, M seatbelts, BMW Live Cockpit Professional, ambient lighting, and a glass sunroof with sliding and tilting options.
The BMW 3 Series Mzansi Edition is available in five colours – Portimao Blue, Black Sapphire Metallic, Mineral Grey Metallic, Mineral White Metallic and Alpine White – and three engine variants ranging from 115kW to 140kW. All Mzansi Edition models are fitted as standard with an eight-speed Sport Automatic transmission with paddle shifts.
Power
Both the 318i and 320i variants of the new Mzansi Edition are fitted with a 2.0-litre, turbo-petrol motor.
The engines develop 115kW and 250Nm, and 135kW and 300Nm respectively – and drive the rear wheels in both specifications.
Combined fuel consumption then comes in at 6.3l/100km for both models.
The 320d comes with a 2.0-litre, turbo-diesel engine.
This model delivers 140kW and 400Nm achieves combined fuel consumption of 6.3l/100km and completes the 100km/h sprint in 6.8 seconds.
All models are paired with an eight-speed Sport automatic transmission with paddle shifters.
